晚二叠世生物大灭绝事件(EPME)是显生宙最严重的一次生物灭绝事件,导致了超过80%海洋生物种的消失,同时重创了陆地生态系统。浙江长兴县煤山剖面主要为浅海相-斜坡相生物碎屑灰岩,完整记录了晚二叠世海相生物灭绝过程;该剖面包括了二叠纪-三叠纪界线(PTB)和长兴阶-吴家坪阶界线两个“金钉子”( GSSP),因此在国际晚二叠世生物大灭绝研究中至关重要。
中国东北地区松辽盆地北缘及其东西两翼发育众多的第四纪板内火山,包括长白山火山、龙岗火山、镜泊湖火山、阿巴嘎火山、哈拉哈火山、五大连池火山、诺敏河火山等。这些年轻板内火山的形成机制及其深部动力学过程是涉及西太平洋地球系统多圈层相互作用的核心科学问题,也是推进解决与板块深俯冲相关重大地球科学问题的关键。
